Set up in 1998 by Jane & William Collins with the prolific stallion LIMMERICK.

The Studs aims are to breed, produce & sell top level Performance Horses and to give local and international Breeders access to the best semen in the world with Customer Service to match.

Proven Competition statistics ranks Lougherne Stud Ltd among the top performance studs in Ireland & the UK.

Located close to the historic village of Hillsborough, Lougherne Stud Ltd is ideally sited in the centre of the horse breeding and competition area of Northern Ireland.

Lougherne Stud Ltd was awarded the Leading Performance Sire & Progeny Awards in 2008 and 2009 by the Half Bred Horse Breeders Society and a Services to Irish Breeding Medal by the Northern Ireland Horse Board in 2009.

We have had the privilege of riding at international level and we have bred Nations Cup Showjumpers & International Eventers, so we feel we have the breeding & performance experience to share with all our Clients.
