Enclosed are the terms and conditions that apply and you might pay particular attention to the indemnity in relation to insurance, which must be signed when leaving your mare at Stud. DISCLAIMER

Mares and foals attending stud will receive every possible care and attention but we accept no responsibility for accident or disease.  Animals attend stud at the owners risk.  We advise owners to insure their animals. Trailers are left at entirely the owners own risk.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

• We value all our Clients and will try our best to accommodate special requests.
• Please bring the mares passport with her to Stud.  This will remain with the mare until she is ready for home.
• A "Use of stallion Fee" will be charged once per mare per season.  It is non refundable & is payable on the day the mare arrives at Stud.  No mare will be allowed entry to Stud or covered if this fee is not paid.
• Stud entry forms must be completed to allow mares to enter stud.       
• Livery and any incurred veterinary work is due once the mare has been covered or inseminated and is ready for home.
• We respectfully bring to your attention that no mare will leave Stud without her account  being settled or without prior arrangement with a member of Lougherne staff.
• All foals must be tetanused. This is good practice & can be done at Stud
• Mares going to grass livery must have their hind shoes removed.
• All mares and foals going to grass will be wormed.
• A semen collection fee of £20 per collection is chargeable for  collecting semen from stud.
• A covering Certificate will only be released when the account is settled.
• Lougherne Stud Ltd reserves the right to refuse  any mare entry to Stud

FULL STALLION FEES ~ Explained The Full stallion Fee is made up of 2 components (* Note Prices exclude VAT)

(1) The Use of the Stallion Fee + (2) The Pregnancy Fee  

(1)The Use of stallion Fee is payable once the mare enters the Stud. It is payable once per season & is non transferable & non refundable.
(2)When the mare scans positive in foal at 18 days the Pregnancy Fee is due.

To retain a Return covering for the following year for a mare which proves to be barren,  the full stallion fee must be paid by 1st October 2010

TRANSPORTATION OF CHILLED SEMEN

• No semen will be sent unless payment is received prior to shipping or on collection from Stud:-
  The "Use of Stallion Fee" (For first shipment only)
  £20 semen collection fee (Per collection)
  Transportation Fee             (if applicable)
          
  • Please post the boxes back within 7 days
  • Chilled semen can be delivered to an agreed address on a "same day" or "next day" service.
  • Exact prices are dependent on final destination.
  • Semen is collected on the same day as shipping to guarantee the quality of our product. So we ask for 24 hour notice prior to shipping.
  • Please inform us if you need an EU Health certificate to accompany the semen (for semen travelling outside the UK)
  • We will try our best to accommodate panic orders providing payment has been made.
  • Every batch of  Lougherne semen is annalysed in our Lab and a sample held for  reference.
  • All incomming semen will also be assessed in our lab and report made to the Client.
  • Lougherne Stud Ltd does not accept semen from outside the UK unless accompanied by the correct EU Health papers.
  • Please ensure the mare information and semen data forms are filled in by your Vet or AI Technician and returned in the travel box.
