Brinkums Helmut to represent Ireland at European Championships

Luca Stubbington & Brinkums Helmut to compete for Ireland at the Pony European Dressage Championships.
Luca Stubbington riding Lougherne Stud's Brinkum's Helmut have been informed by the Irish Selectors that the duo have been chosen to represent Ireland at the Pony European Dressage Championships to be held at Bishop Burton College (28th July to 1st August 2010) Already on a high from their wins at the Marlton Summer Dressage Championships last week-end the European selection is the icing on the cake. The 10 year old Oldenburg pony stallion Brinkums Helmut & his 14 year old Rider beat the cream of the Irelands senior Riders to be crowned Medium Dressage Champions. Meanwhile the week-end before saw Luca & her string of Eventers competing for Ireland in the Junior A & Pony sections at Tattersalls International Event. Trained by her Mum Georgia Stubbington (McKean) herself a 4**** level event rider, Luca can't go wrong. She & Helmut gave a wonderful dressage display at the Lougherne Stud Open Day which showcased both the stallion & herself as exactly what Ireland needs. - seriously talented young Riders on talented horses.
