He was a beautiful, kind stallion & will be a great loss to us & to the Breeders of Northern Ireland. His foals out of the Irish mares are fantastic. Lougherne Springs & Lougherne Gipsy with their Corea Foals will be out competing at Balmoral Show. Perhaps we have a potential Stallion amongst them.

LOUGHERNE COREA is an approved holstein stallion that jumped to international grand prix level partnered with Markus Beerbaum. He is one of the last sons of Cor de la Bryere, one of the 3 Kings of holstein and this makes L.COREA a half brother to "Irelands Own" Cavalier Royale. But he has the added advantage of a high percentage of proven competition thoroughbred blood in his dams pedigree. This stamme/maternal line is Holstein 776 and is the most sought after performance line in the world for producing jumping horses.

L.Corea is also a proven sire of international stock. He has progeny competing for Asustir, Germany & Holland at International competitions throughout Europe. He was represented at the junior European Event Championships and in 2008 he had stock with numerous top 10 placings in CIC** Events. In 2009 went to advanced 3*** level. He also has progeny named in the top third of the World Breeders Federation World Ranking for eventing.
L.Corea breeds beautiful athletic stock. He certainly stamps his stock and adds his gentle temperament. He does not breed chestnut but he does breed performance.
In May Lougherne Corea was inspected by the Anglo European Stud book and was awarded Full Approval status.
Lougherne Stud can confirm Corea's 2009 Fertility Rate for getting mares in foal to be a fantastic 92%. He is equally good for fresh insemination at stud or for shipped semen.
