Brinkums Helmut was Reserve Champion at his stallion grading inspections in 2003. He is by BRILLANT the British pony sire honoured in Germany with the supreme title ''Champion Stallion'' due to his progenies’ winning abilities in the Dressage & Showing rings.

Brinkums Helmuts dam & grand dam are state premium mares & traces back to the Downlands line which is one of the most significant maternal lines in pony breeding in Great Britain. Added to this there is also performance thoroughbred blood and the great Anglo Arab influence of CAID.

From Res. Champion Stallion as a 3 year old in 2003 Oldenburg Stallion Grading he has gone on to be Res. Irish National Elementary Dressage Champion at Cavan in 2006, Northern Region Elementary & Medium Champion '07 and Scottish Medium Champion in 2008. Now in 2009 partnered with 13 year old Luca Stubbington the pair have competed in England and won the Northern Region Medium Championship and are working towards an Irish Team place for the European Dressage Championships next year.
