Builders Delight has 1080 SJAI show jumping points. He is bred on top Irish performance Connemara bloodlines. He is a grand son of the great Carna Bobby(sire of Bobby Sparrow) and boosts the much sought after MARBLE LINEAGE on his Dam Line. In 2007 Builders Delight "retired" to Stud and took a break from his long & illustrious career at top level showjumping where he took many pony Riders to the pinnacle of their sport. He was an Irish International Team Pony & has represented his country in competitions all over Europe He was a Dublin Horse Show/RDS National Show jumping Champion. He was on the Irish Silver Medal Winning Team in Verona and was named on 2 European Championship Teams. In 2005 he competed for Ireland at the CSIOP European Show Jumping Championships at Fountainbleau with Frank Curran jnr. The same year he attended the Connemara Stallion Grading and the Irish AES Performance stallion Grading. At this AES Grading he was x-rayed & fully vetted and he was the ONLY stallion to be awarded Fully Approved status. In 2007 he was awarded the accolade of Foundation Stallion for the Canadian Connemara Society based on his correctness of type & performance record. He is in great demand at Stud but just for fun he ventured back into competition in 2009. On his first outing he won the RDS Performance Connemara Qualifier and went on to the Final at Dublin in August. He loves his day trips to the local shows & it is intended to continue this in 2010. Builders Delight has a fantastic temperament and is an exceptional cross for thoroughbred and performance mares. He boosts a World Equestrian Games mare, a Junior European Event Team mare and a Badminton & Burghley 4* mare among his "ladies'. Lougherne Stud can confirm his fertility statistics for 2009 are excellent at 94% in foal hit rate.
