BREAKING NEWS; Lougherne Connaught moves up a gear in the 2* Grand Prix with a fantastic 4th place at Bad Schwartau International Show, 23-25th April. "The track was very big and only 8 out of 50 starters got through to the jump off. We finished 4th & I am delighted with him. Now I have 2 Lougherne horses for the sunday afternoon Grand Prixs".

Lougherene Connaught - this stallion is classically handsome and the perfect jumping machine produced from top Holstein performance and thoroughbred racing bloodlines. L Connaught is by the International Grand prix show jumper CASSINI I (By seminal Holstein sire CAPITOL) Cassini had numerous Grand Prix wins when partnered with Franke Sloothaak and many German Nations Cup & World Cup placings. L.Connaughts dam line (stamm) is by Irish thoroughbred Sir Shostakovich who raced successfully in Ireland.
This very successful son of Cassini I started his jumping career in Ireland with high placings at the Irish National Championships in 2006 & 2007 and is currently competing in the German Youngster Tour in Holstein, Germany with International Thorsten Wittenberg. He has won M** and S* (1.30m) levels and is consistantly placed at S** (1.45m) this year.
He combines pure Holstein performance with Irish racing blood. He is a top sports horse with top bloodlines & proving himself to be a top stallion. His son Lougherne COOL RUNNING is standing at Lougherne Stud in 2009 before going to join his father at Wittenberg Stables to start his jumping career in Germany.
